TEHRAN The Qazi historical complex in Aran-Bidgol has joined the list of national monuments. According to the head of the Cultural Heritage Office in Kashan, Seifollah Aminian, the three-story complex with the infrastructure of about 8,000 square meters comprises Jame' Mosque, Shabestan, Hosseiniyeh, mausoleum of five sons of Imams (A.S.), water reservoir, bazaar and library. Aminian referred to Qazi Jame' Mosque as the oldest building in the complex which was built during the early Islamic centuries and was expanded in Shah Tahmasb Safavid era.

Construction of the great Shabestan, used during summers, dates back to Safavid era. Aminian further said that the discovery of a precious tile inscription in the mausoleum which belongs to Ilkhani era shows that the mausoleum dates from the eighth century AH. He added that an inscription hanging on a pillar inside the mausoleum indicates that the mausoleum was repaired in 1055 AH. There are also some manuscripts on the walls of the mausoleum dating from 11th and 12th centuries AH. In conclusion, Aminian said that, according to the documents related to the stores and eastern and western shopping arcades in the complex, the bazaar flourished in Safavid era.
